Relaxation massage, deep tissue massage or remedial massage - what’s the difference?

Relaxation Massage: Full body relaxation, working from light work to deeper strokes in order to get the body and muscles to relax and feel “lighter”. Great to wind down after a stressful day or for some general self-care.

Deep Tissue Massage: Single area focus, trigger point work through tight and “knotted” areas to provide pain and stiffness relief. Great for ongoing pain from work or other activities.

Remedial Massage: Focusing on movement/muscle impingement, trigger point release with other techniques, providing relief and freedom of movement as well as going through possible causes of issues and long-term prevention and care. Perfect for helping with any physical activities or ongoing pain that has been ignored long term that just won't get better on its own.

Treatments

We offer a wide range of hands-on manual therapy modalities, some of these include.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage focuses on single body areas in order to provide a deeper release than relaxation alone. Deep tissue massage allows for more muscular release as the time is given to allow your body systems to relax and release giving greater results.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is fantastic for multiple area releases allowing for a more time effective session. Dry needling allows for deeper releases without the compressive pressure of manual release which requires you, as the client, to consciously relax. Dry needling works with your central nervous system to induce a deeper release without any need for concentrating through any discomfort.

Cupping

Myofascial cupping helps to promote blood flow, and create space between the layers of connective tissue in the body, allowing your nerves to relax. Myofascial cupping helps the central nervous system to calm down, allowing for a deeper massage in less time and with much less discomfort.

Cupping

Describe your service here. What makes it great? Use short catchy text to tell people what you offer, and the benefits they will receive. A great description gets readers in the mood, and makes them more likely to go ahead and book.

MUSCULAR STENGTHING

Muscular strengthening is a huge part of the soreness and muscular discomfort we all face day to day. Muscular strengthening is aimed at building the muscles which are giving the pain signals in order to allow them to relax more as they are generally in an endless battle with a stronger muscle which they have to fight against.

SCRAPING

Myofascial scraping promotes collagen release and blood flow to an area while helping to identify where built up soft tissue is forming and causing major problems. Myofascial scraping is very beneficial for long ongoing issues with tendons or muscular recovery from injury.

TAPING

Soft taping is used to allow the central nervous system to continue to decompress for days after a treatment. Soft taping works much like Cupping, by creating space between layers of soft tissue, which inevitably allows the nerves to relax, giving greater release even after a treatment has concluded.

Testimonial

Ryan Barron

I have been seeing Brock for a long time now, for various training niggles. He always manages to fit me into his schedule and has a 100% success rate of fixing my issue, which has largely been neck pain. As a physiotherapist, I value the need to combine movement, with release techniques that Brock offers, and I wouldn't go to anyone else.
